Anupam Kher recently talked about the controversy surrounding The Kerala Story. He said that those who don’t like the movie also didn’t like The Kashmir Files. The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story both caused huge political fights. A lot of people also called him a piece of propaganda.

Anupam told the news agency ANI about The Kerala Story, “These are the same faces that are against these kinds of movies, and you can see them everywhere.” Whether it’s a CAA, Shaheen Bagh, or JNU protest. These were the same people who had bad things to say about The Kashmir Files. I don’t know what they want and I don’t think I should pay attention to them. In fact, they are no longer useful.”

He said, “Again, I’d say their faces are the same. I haven’t seen the movie, but I’m glad to see more realistic movies being made. And people who think it’s propaganda make movies about it. “free to make things.” No one can stop him from talking about the perfect subject for him.

The lead roles in The Kerala Story are played by Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani. The movie was directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amritlal Shah. People didn’t like the film’s trailer because it said that 32,000 girls from the state went missing and later joined ISIS.

Mamata Banerjee, who is the Chief Minister of West Bengal, said earlier in the day that the movie would be banned. He said, “The film The Kerala Story will be banned by the government of West Bengal. This is so there won’t be any hate or violence and so the state can stay peaceful.” She also asked what The Kashmir Files was. It’s a slur on a group. What is the story of Kerala?… It is a twisted story.

Many people want the movie to be banned, and many famous people have spoken out about it. Shabana Azmi wrote on Twitter, “Those who want to ban #TheKeralaStory are just as wrong as those who tried to ban #LaalSinghChadha by Aamir Khan. Once a movie has been approved by the Central Board of Film Certification, no one else has the right to become an extra constitutional authority.

Kangana replied to Shabana’s post, “This is a very good point, except that no one asked to ban the LSC. People just didn’t want to see it for a number of reasons, the main one being that it was a remake of a very popular old Hollywood classic that most people had already seen.”

Earlier, on Friday, the Kerala High Court said that the film’s creators had put out a disclaimer that said the movie was made up and was a dramatization of real events. The disclaimer also said that the movie did not claim to be true or accurate about historical events. The Kerala Story came out on May 5. It is not a true story.
