Sunil had stated, “Many Bombay merchants were eager to write off the film from day one.” Since I cast Mr. Bachchan as the father of Akshay Kumar, there has been a powerful lobby operating against me. I don’t know what this lobby has against me, a relationship. Perhaps they disliked my forthrightness. In addition, there has been a great deal of industry backlash against Akshay’s casting in all of my brother’s and my films.”
