We were impressed by Zeeshan Ayyub’s performance in Karishma Tanna’s crime drama Scoop on Netflix. Zeeshan has collaborated with a number of well-known Bollywood actors. Among them was Kangana Ranaut. In the movies Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Zeeshan and Kangana appeared together onscreen. Despite sharing a workplace, there is no good will between the two. And the reason for this is their divisive political disagreements. Zeeshan recently admitted in an interview that he and Kangana haven’t spoken since learning about one another’s political views.

Zeeshan Ayyub on Kangana Ranaut

In an interview with Lallantop, Zeeshan Ayyub revealed that he accepted the role in Kangana Ranaut’s movie Manikarnika since he was unaware of the tension between the two actors. “During Manikarnika, Kangana Ranaut’s politics weren’t entirely obvious… She invited me over and described the position and the five-day workweek to me. During the time of the conflict with Sonu Sood, I was unaware of the good money that was being made. Throughout the course of those five days, we had fun. It wasn’t odd at all. But since then, we haven’t spoken. We haven’t met since I learned about these political disagreements,” he claimed.

Kangana Ranaut And Sonu Sood Controversy

Following Sonu Sood’s departure from Manikarnika, Kangana Ranaut and the Dabangg star have been at odds. Sonu Sood reportedly had issues with Manikarnika’s new directors. Prior to Kangana taking over as director, the movie was helmed by filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi, who was forced to relinquish his position.

The majority of Sonu Sood’s scenes were cut from the film because Kangana insisted they be shot a certain way, Sonu Sood said in an interview. Despite four months of filming, Zeeshan Ayyub was brought in when Sonu Sood quit the project in the middle.

Zeeshan Ayyub On Political Differences

Zeeshan Ayyub responded to a question about whether he befriends people who hold different political views than he does by saying that while he is open to “reasonable conversation,” his “minimum requirement from people is that they should not justify the death of others, they should not say that lynchings used to happen earlier.” The actor claims that if someone doesn’t fit this description, they are required to “draw the line.”
