His former director was unconvinced by his appearance and believed he wasn’t a hero material. On Karan Johar’s talk programme Koffee With Karan, Ranveer Singh made his debut. The director admitted that he wasn’t thrilled when Yash Chopra told him about Ranveer’s casting in Band Baaja Baaraat and thought Aditya Chopra was making a mistake.
