Saturday, at Delhi’s Kapurthala House, actress Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha became engaged in the presence of family and friends. The couple wore identical white ethnic attire to the fantasy ceremony. Now, Parineeti has shared a few more photos from their special day, along with a poignant message about their intimate Sikh ceremony.
In the candid photographs, Parineeti wore a lace dupatta over her tresses, providing a glimpse into the couple’s traditional engagement ceremony. In the first image he shared, Parineeti’s face was obscured as she greeted a religious leader presiding over the ceremony with her palms folded. Raghav greeted him with folded hands and a grin on his face. According to Sikh custom, his hair was also covered for the ceremony.
The following images depict the joyful couple at their engagement ceremony, which took place in a large hall with white walls and green, yellow, and blue glass windows. In one photograph, Parineeti’s father Pawan Chopra is seen weeping in the background; he sat behind the couple. Sitting in front of dozens of family, friends, and other visitors, Parineeti and Raghav are photographed praying with folded hands; in one of these photographs, Raghav’s eyes were closed, and in the other, Parineeti’s eyes were closed.

The actor donned a white kurta and matching dupatta designed by Manish Malhotra for the engagement, while the AAP leader wore an achkan designed by her uncle and Delhi-based designer Pawan Sachdev. After their engagement, Parineeti and Raghav made their first public appearance as a couple by greeting the paparazzi and posing for photographs. Priyanka Chopra, the actor cousin of Parineeti who arrived in Delhi on Saturday morning, was also spotted at the engagement. They enthusiastically posed for the paparazzi and also posted a succession of photos from the party on Instagram.
