Ranveer Singh remembers the “out of body experience” he had on the first day of filming alongside veteran actor Dharmendra.

He recalled his first scene with Dharmendra on the RARKPK set, saying, “Dharam sir was arriving the first day we were shooting together. I felt both anxious and eager. I had to communicate with Dharam Sir in a situation that required face-to-face communication. When I got to the set that morning, I told Eddie to let me know when Dharam Sir would arrive since I wanted to personally congratulate him on the start of the shoot.
But, oddly, nothing transpired as expected, he continued. When I learned that Dharam sir had already arrived at the set, I impulsively decided to leave. As I got there, I understood that this is not the right time to take many actions. I met Dharam Sir and gave him a bear embrace. The first shot was shortly to be taken, so I immediately hurried to the scene to get directions from Karan (Johar) and our DOP Manush. I was practicing when I noticed Dharam Sir sitting there. It was at this point that I understood I was truly sharing screen time with “Dharmendra.” He and I both had roles in the same movie. Although I am unable to put into words how I felt, I believe it was somewhat akin to an out-of-body experience.
The actor also expressed his appreciation for the chance to be on screen with some of the biggest names in the business. When I was filming with Anil Kapoor, Govinda, and Ajay Devgan, it had happened numerous times before. Sharing the screen alongside such senior actors, whom I have respected since I was young and who have motivated me to become the artist that I am today, has been a real pleasure and privilege. I’m pretty content right now.
