Shamita Shetty: I’ve Never Really Gone Far Enough To Make A Comeback

Shamita Shetty began her successful acting career with Mohabbatein. He recently returned to the spotlight in 2000 thanks to his important performance in the movie Tenant (2023). While many referred to it as her return, Shamita in particular was unfamiliar with the phrase.

She laughed and said, “I never really went that far to make a comeback. I just took my time choosing the jobs that I did. Quality has always come before quantity for me. And that’s likely one of the causes of the constant, or rather, such a significant interval between each release. Nonetheless, the OTT platform is now providing me with some fascinating work.

Shamita acknowledges that the trip has not been simple, particularly with the shadow of being actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s sister constantly looming over her.

Now that we are examining the mentality difference, Shamita informs us, “It is not just the industry difference, it is the expectation and perception others have of you. It extends beyond the industry. Regrettably, parallels continue to be made and will continue to be made. But, each person is unique.

“At first it was hard for me, but now I’m good. The situation is very different right now. Having said that, there are still a lot of adjustments that must be made, which, in my opinion, will happen gradually over time.

The actor believes that “Both box office statistics and fan recognition are crucial for an actor” after spending 23 years working in the film industry and experiencing a variety of changes. Having said that, he considers content to be king today.

It is your story that is most significant, Shetty explains. It’s not just a matter of which actor will appear in which movie. The hero is your content. People are experimenting with a variety of OTT services that offer fantastic content.

As a result of the coronavirus, the audience’s expectations for the type of work or subjects have also changed. They now seek out content that is sincere and timely. So, I believe that the current crop of movies being produced live up to those hopes. Yet, individually, it means being a part of something distinctive, authentic, and important that conveys the proper message, the actor claims.

In addition to making movies, Shetty has also been in reality TV shows like Bigg Boss, Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, and present a glimpse. Does he believe that this will help him break into the hotly contested world of television?

She responds, “I don’t think so, because you have a lot of mainstream actors today involved in television, whether it be judging or anything else. I was a part of some of the largest reality TV programs, but I also ended up acting in films. It’s a performance art; it has nothing to do with a stage or a business. You can make a lot of money and gain a lot of followers thanks to television. I was never able to work on films with the level of support and love I received after appearing on series like Bigg Boss. When it comes to a certain industry, I will never limit myself,” the actor said in conclusion.
