Following the popularity of The Kashmir Files and The Tashkent Files, a Twitter user urged filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri to create The Manipur Files. Agnihotri responded to the request. Once Vivek blogged about the murder of Kashmiri Pandits, the request was made. He recently debuted The Kashmir Files Unreported web series trailer.
Vivek tweeted, “Indian Judiciary stayed ignorant & mute on Kashmiri Hindu Genocide,” in reference to the topic of The Kashmir Files Unreported. As guaranteed in our constitution, it failed and continues to fail to protect Kashmiri Hindus’ right to life.” “Don’t waste time, go and make a movie Manipur Files if you are man enough,” a user replied in response to the message.
Vivek responded to the individual by writing, “I appreciate your confidence in me. Will you only receive the films I made? The filmmaker who is a member of “Team India” is not working at the moment. (But do you want me to produce every movie. Does anyone know of any other itna mard nahi hai?
What Is Happening In Manipur?
Manipur has experienced ethnic violence over the past two months. The state’s plan to give the Meitei people Scheduled Tribe status kicked off the whole thing on May 3 in the state’s Churachandpur town when Kuki factions called for a protest. This caused conflicts between the parties, which resulted in over 50,000 injuries and over 150 fatalities.
A state-produced video that was shot amid the violence and is more than two months old just went viral. Video displayed two indigenous women in the state being groped and paraded by several guys. Now that the video has gone viral online, there is a great deal of public fury.
Vivek Agnihotri On Viral Video From Manipur
Vivek had written an agonising poem in response to the Manipur incidence. “Manipur: Moplas, Direct Action Day, Noakhali, Bangladesh, Punjab, Kashmir, Bengal, Kerala, Assam, Bastar, and now Manipur,” he wrote in a tweet. Every time our defenceless mothers and sisters are subjected to cruel, inhumane deeds. Every time, I cry because I’m an Indian, a guy, and a human. I feel bad. I feel awful for being so helpless.
“O Manipur, I tried… I tried… but I failed,” he writes in his poem. All I can do right now is use my work to share their depressing tales. Nevertheless, it’s too late. Election politics that are skewed and intensely competitive affect us all. Hyper-religion has made us victims. We are the targets of harmful media. We are the victims—the people of India. In a free India, there is no such thing as a right to life. We have no control over it. This freedom is not the same. which I prefer. I don’t want this kind of democracy. It is useless if it compels us to commit murder on one another. We live in a broken society. My sisters, I’m sorry. I apologise to my mothers. I apologise to Mother India.
