Kl Rahul Shares His Thoughts On Trolling And Its Negative Effect On Mental Health

0

In the age of social media, where the gap between regular people and famous people has shrunk, strong bonds and free-flowing communication are becoming more common. Its bad effects are also getting worse quickly. And as time goes on, it gets harder and harder for professionals in different fields to deal with trolls.

People have made it a habit to keep going after celebrities, especially sports stars, on social media.

It has become the easiest way for netizens to show how frustrated, angry, or whatever they feel about famous people. When asked what he thought about the criticism, star cricketer KL Rahul said what he thought about it.

Rahul, a batter for Team India, has been made fun of because he hasn’t been doing well lately. In the podcast with Ranveer Allahabadia, he talked about the problem and how it hurt his mental health and the mental health of other athletes.

“Trolling is something that affects me and a lot of other boys from time to time. When we athletes really need help, people feel like they can say what they want or have the power to do so. “Just look at what that person has to go through,” Rahul said.

He also said, “No one wants to do badly. Life is cricket. Other than cricket, I don’t know much else. Why would anyone think that I don’t take my game seriously or don’t work hard enough? It’s the sport, I work hard, but the outcome didn’t go my way.”

Rahul led the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) before a leg injury forced him out of the tournament. Because of the injury, he was no longer able to play for India in the final of the World Test Championship against Australia. Before being kicked out of the IPL 2023, the LSG captain scored 274 runs in 9 games, with an average of 34.25 and a strike rate of 113.
